Welcome.
Roxborough Park is a terrific place to call home. It's among the safest communities in Douglas County, according to statistics.
But for several reasons -- such as our unique geologic features, curving narrow roadways, various cultural influences, unpredictable wildlife, driver un-familiarity -- a few persistent traffic safety issues require attention of residents and visitors.
While most drivers are respectful and courteous there is a sizable minority who persistently drive in a manner that can only be described as either careless or reckless. There is also a need to analyze and correct a few roadway and signage issues.
The Traffic Safety Committee is persistent too. We stand committed to help the Board of Directors understand and resolve these issues and conditions. To make the Park even safer, quieter, and more livable.
We invite your creativity, involvement and support to make it so.
About us
In 2005 the Roxborough Park Foundation (RPF) board of directors chartered a standing committee to evaluate traffic safety issues and make recommendations for improvement. That's what we do.
This website keeps that process transparent and open to all.
Committee members include co-chairs John Miller and Phil Scott plus a dozen or so citizen volunteers -- your friends and neighbors -- who represent the four Roxborough Park neighborhoods: East, North, West, and South.
Volunteers bring unique backgrounds and perspectives to the work and represent varied backgrounds and professions: engineering (traffic, roadway, software), psychologist, physical therapist, business executives,
retirees, grandfathers and grandmothers.
The purpose of this site is to remind, educate, inform, motivate, and inspire all who live in our great community and navigate our unique private roadway system.
Your questions, concerns (and kudos?) are always welcome. We seek a rich, two-way dialogue. Tell us. Ask us. Keep in touch.
